About Me
Welcome. I'm Amy, a Registered Clinical Counsellor and a student of life. I believe we all have the potential to be happy. My own healing journey, including therapy, helped me realize it is possible to create change in our lives. I work from the belief that our nervous systems play a major role in our ability to navigate the world, and with practice we can build our capacities to deal with life’s challenges. I also believe that with practice, it is possible to be in our highest self worth, in alignment with the people we want to be. It is never too late to make a change.
I spent years being hard on myself, a perfectionist, and found myself in addiction as a method of coping. I was living a double life. While I may have appeared good on the outside, I was dying on the inside. When I made the decision to get sober, everything changed for me.
For fifteen years I had a successful career in corporate retail. I loved my job, but ultimately I burnt out and needed to make a change. I was no longer feeling aligned with what I was doing and I could not ignore it. I took a leap of faith and followed my dreams of becoming a counsellor to help other individuals navigate their own opportunities and challenges in life.
If you are looking to build self worth, break patterns that are not working for you, regulate your nervous system or going through any kind of life change where you need support and want to find freedom, I am here for you.
I hold a Master of Counselling and am a Registered Clinical Counsellor. I provide virtual and in-person sessions, and am located in Vancouver Canada.
